Purpose & Vision
Felicity Property Company was founded as a platform for design-driven urban development, with a clear mission: to revitalize and reinvest in New Orleans’ neighborhoods following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. As part of the Roessing Whittaker family office, Felicity reflects our belief that thoughtful, community-scaled real estate development can be a powerful tool for long-term value creation — not just financially, but socially and culturally as well.
Our vision has always centered on elevating the Built Environment through timeless design, adaptive reuse, and human-centered property management. We see each building and block not just as assets, but as opportunities to create places where people live better, work smarter, and feel more connected.
Urban Infill & Design Excellence
Since inception, Felicity has completed over 25 value-add real estate projects across New Orleans — many of them challenging urban infill and adaptive reuse opportunities. These projects range from historic renovations to ground-up mixed-use development, each guided by a consistent design philosophy: contextual, resilient, and beautiful.
Our work has been recognized with more than 20 AIA and design awards, validating a core belief — that architecture and design are not luxuries, but necessities in creating vibrant, lasting communities.
Customer-Focused Property Management
Equally important to our approach is how we care for what we build. Felicity’s scatter-site property management model is intentionally lean, responsive, and customer service focused. We treat our tenants as customers and neighbors — emphasizing communication, rapid response, and upkeep that meets high aesthetic and functional standards.
As a result, our management platform consistently earns top reviews across residential and commercial portfolios. We believe this high-touch, decentralized model is especially effective in urban neighborhoods, where every interaction contributes to the fabric of the place.
Family Office Backing
As a Roessing Whittaker initiative, Felicity demonstrates the unique advantages of a family office approach: patient capital, long-term thinking, and alignment between purpose and performance. Our commitment to New Orleans is not opportunistic — it is personal. We live here, work here, and believe in the city’s future.
The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina revealed how fragile and how vital the city’s physical infrastructure is. Our response — through Felicity — has been to thoughtfully restore, build, and manage with care, one building at a time.
Looking Ahead
Felicity continues to evolve, but our principles remain the same: design matters, stewardship matters, and the Built Environment is a powerful lever for improving lives. As we grow, we aim to apply these lessons to new neighborhoods, new partnerships, and new forms of impact — always guided by the belief that great places build great cities.
